Dana + Ryan

I mean, look at them. They are so friggin in love you can tell even if you didn’t already know that Dana is the smiley-est person alive, or that Ryan is as genuine and kind as he is. I feel so grateful to have stuck my camera into rooms filled with love, the love of families, their love of each other, and the love of everyone surrounding this day. I can’t help but smile when I look through these images. It’s the kind of smile that bubbles up from a happy place deep down inside. So, so grateful.

And hullOOOO St Vincents School for (wayward) Boys?? Where have you been all my life???

I’m totally in love with this wedding. The bouquet, the twinkle lights, just everything…

Saci + Paul

It’s not so easy for me to travel as it used to be. It’s harder and harder every day to leave the sweet face of my bright and sunny baby girl. But in short order, Saci and Paul flew me to Laredo when some free time popped up on their calendar. Saci’s warmth reaches through her emails and the phone, and I was so excited to meet her in person. And HELLO GORGEOUS PEOPLE. Did I mention also that every client I have this year is my favorite? What is it about people from Texas that makes me love them so??

Saci is a mother of an unusually handsome young man, Bricen. To photograph this family on their ranch that’s been in the family for 6 generations, to witness the little histories spread all through out their beautiful desert paradise was ALMOST enough to make me want to stay another day and just hang out. We spent the day, taking ridiculously wonderful pictures, collecting rocks, searching for ubiquitous arrow heads (Bricen finds boxes full on a daily basis – he is an arrowhead ninja) and petrified wood (there used to be a whole petrified FOREST on their land!!!), bird watching, and for me, just being in awe of that beautiful place, and these beautiful souls. When our time was up and Saci took me to the airport, I almost missed my flight because I was just enjoying her company so. I have one wedding left to photograph this year, and it’s Saci and Paul’s. I AM SO EXCITED. See why??

Fabulous pictures of Saci, Paul, and Bricen. Really captured the rugged beauty of the land and their love. Can’t wait to see the wedding photos.

Katy + James

I am so grateful to photograph beautiful weddings like these in beautiful places such as St Kitts. Did you know they have monkeys in St Kitts?? Monkeys everywhere, on an island the size of the suburban town I grew up in! This was such a wonderful wedding, with wonderful people, and a lot of dancing and drinking and joyfulness.

Betty + Bump

I have had the distinct pleasure of spending 5 days of my life with Betty (and Kent!). 3 for her wedding in Kona where was lucky to spend my summers growing up, and two in Honolulu, where I had the honor if photographing the resulting baby bump. I am so grateful to have the honor of documenting their most life altering moments on film. Really on film, not just metaphorically speaking. Thank you for brining me to my favorite place on earth, feeding me my dream food, making me laugh, and hiking to Lost land with me! I hope to find an excuse to spend another day with you!!

OM, what a wonderful way to document Betty’s pregnancy! Since you took such awesome photos, no doubt she and Kent will have you back to photograph the baby! (Betty, are you reading this?)

Sarah + Howard

This wedding was really special to me. It was the first time in, well, maybe a year, that I could come home and sleep in my own bed afterward. And Sarah and Howard are exactly the kind of people that make me love what I do so much! And that is why there are so many images here. So you can see what I saw on that beautiful January day.
