Engagement!: Tricia and Raheem

Let me start by saying that These two are gorgeous. Is is repetative to say that I had a blast hanging out with them? Because I did. And also, Tricia had amazing shoes (see exhibit A). She really was quite a trooper, hiking through the park in those! So I wanted to make sure we gave those fabulous shoes some blog love! And also, this fabulous couple. They made eyes on the C train eight years ago. There is true love to be had on the C train folks! See?

A Marriage!: Tracy and Dan (A preview!)

I’m back!! And it is good to be so. It’s funny how the more there is to do, the less time there is to expound upon the details. But now that I have sometime, expect ALOT of posts in the next few days!

So, Tracy and Dan. These guys are really special. I had such a great time at this wedding, it was so beautiful, and these two are so made for each other. And seriously, the venue, which I had never heard of before, was BEAUTIFUL! It was like an old cathedral, only there were no pews, and the reception was right in the venue! So it was like having a reception in a cathedral! Gorgeous! Anyway, enough talk… I had meant for this to be a brief preview, but as I went through all the images, I just couldn’t help but share them in heaps! So enjoy while I go back into my workshop and make a slideshow! Yay!

Seriously, this is the kind of love and joy that makes me pinch myself. This is my job, people!

Cupcakes instead of a Cake! And these were THE best. cupcakes. ever. The caterer was Flame Deal, and Tracy just could not stop raving about her, and when I met her breifly, and after I had the amazing cupcake, with amazing frosting, I could see why!

I’ve been tagged!

So, as my computer nears the end of it’s life cycle (We are talking S.L.O.W) and I fall a little behind on blogging, I thought I would give you some blog food and address the issue at hand. I’ve been tagged. I can no longer avoid it.

The rules:

1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules here.
3. Share 7 random or weird facts about yourself.
4. Tag 7 random people at the end of the post, linking to them.
5. Leave a comment on their blog so that they know they’ve been tagged.

1. The lovely and talented Jennifer Davis is responsible for the post.
2. See above.
3. Random or weird facts…:

a. I LOVE pocky. hey are these stick pretzels dipped in chocolate you can get at chinese markets, and I like to dip them in green tee ice cream, and have my way with them.

b. I learned everything I know about photography searching through photos on flickr.

c. I was an actress in an Emmy award winning Internet Sitcom (You may already know that, though!)

d. I find it really uncomfortable to call my Husband by his real name, which is Andrew. Names he has been called in the past: Oh Leslie, Husby, Husbone, Bones, Regina Niles, and of course, Jim. He sometimes is very confused when I send him a serious email addressed to Jim. Some times I even sign it Jim, too. For effect.

e. When I lived in LA early last year, I was very sad and lonely. I wasn’t allowed to have animals where I was, or my Husband, so I volunteered at the local animal shelter to fill the void. I still missed my home in New York terribly – but it was the best thing ever! I saved kittens from certain death, I helped shave a dog’s bum, and I became friends with a morbidly obese cocker spaniel, and also a wonderful girl named Freddie, who had been living at the shelter for 2 years (dog not a person). Feral cats are scary.

f. I am deathly afraid of heights, but sometimes I will involve myself in stressful and high up situations to get a good shot. I usually make the decision while I’m safely on the ground, and regret my decision later, until I get an amazing shot of something.

g. I shot my first wedding on May 26th, 2007 in Bristol Pennsylvania for $150, for Dana and Chris, who will forever hold a special place in my heart!

5. I tag!

I’ve got some other things to do at the moment, but I’ll keep you posted!

Hey Cynthia! Here is a link to my very first wedding. Enjoy!

wow! you’ve come a long ways baby 😉 especially in such a short time! can you post pics from your first wedding?

Engagement!: Cynthia and Simon

Today was GORGEOUS GORGEOUS!!! I like warmth! I’m a big fan of it! It’s my California roots!! And so what better way than to spend this GORGEOUS day with GORGEOUS light than with a GORGEOUS couple. Cynthia and Simon. I had so much fun. I love engagement sessions. It’s so different than just meeting with out photos and pretty light and nice scenery. I mean, usually when I meet people they aren’t all getting down to business and making out and stuff. It really breaks the ice.

Enjoy!! (and watch out for one of my few NYC weddings with Tracy and Dan!)
