Story Time.

This one’s for you, Cynthia. Sorry I’ve been gone so long!

It’s true. It’s been a little while since I’ve posted, and while I am pretty busy with other various things, I haven’t had any new pictures to post in a while. Don’t worry. That will change, very soon, and very drastically.

So I’m sitting here, trying to think of what to say, and other than the fact that the day is beautiful and I am filled with a particular joy that my sweetheart will be returning home from his musical journeys soon, I’ve got nothing. So once again! I will call upon my lovely blog readers, and if you would like to know anything about me, personally, I promise I’ll tell the whole truth, so we can get some meat up on this blog, on this deep lull before Husbone and I shoot a wedding and depart for Africa next weekend. In the meantime, I may have posted these ages and ages ago, but before many of you were here. Some Holga, from early in my photographic life – oh! And some more pictures from the zoo!

Husbone counting change.

My home (and the best) street in Queens.

And of course, a couple more pictures from the zoo!

This little guy was cracking me up!

hi punam! how sweet of you to do offer this again… will be random question… what would you say is the craziness and funnest story that you can share that inspired your talents? and if you can invent something… what would it be? see, told ya it’s random ;) ps… have a great time in africa with husbone and bring back some delish stories =)

Cynthia

Hi Punam :) Since you put the offer out there to ask more questions—I’ll take one inspired from your previous post where you stated that you are passionate about a few things (the zoo being one of them)! Although I can guess at a few, I’d rather hear more from you at your leisure!

Hi Punam!! I missed out the last time you did this, so here’s my chance…there’s lots I want to ask, but I’ll keep it brief for now. :)
I know you’ve mentioned to me that you fell in love with photography when you got married. But how long since then, did you wait to finally venture out and turn it into a business? How does one really know when they’re ready to go professional? We all know photography is an expensive hobby, so I’m just curious, did you have any other jobs before you decided to become a professional photographer? Lastly, how did you book your first ever wedding? Thanks!!!

Cynthia

ahhhhh *happy sigh* you’re the best! so fun to see another post–fab ending to my day :) thank you Puman! It’s okay to have nothing…everyone needs a break and the pictures are cool-those monkeys are funny! I was just letting you know you’re missed! I am excited to see what comes out of Africa and beyond from you and Husbone! Happy travels!!

Punam -
I’ll keep this short, but I have to say I absolutely ADORE U!! Your photos totally draw me in to the moment and they ooze with the joy you have for what you do, when looking through your photos I leave with such a great feeling like you get after seeing a really great moving movie;-) I’m not a photographer, but I love beautiful images and would like to start taking my own…I’m looking at landing on the D300 in the next month (your opinion to someone who knows nothing about photography would be great)….would love to hire you for a weekend and just sponge you up! Is that an option?? So just a couple quick questions til your next offer to ask;-)) 1) the photo of the gazillion hanging bulbs under 2/9, what were your settings and did you do any editing? 2) under 2/25 your husbone stading in front of the tall reeds, are they real or did you do any kind of artistic adding? 3) your husbone snapping a shot, how did you get him so sharp with the background so faded?…Again your pics are like fantasy, thank you for sharing your art!!
