We are going to go a little out of order for a moment. Alia and Bill’s engagement session was just a couple of days before their wedding, but I really couldn’t wait to post their wedding images, so their engagement session will have to wait for now!
Alia and Bill so deeply and totally love each other. It’s amazing to have a job where I get to be around that kind of love. It’s inspiring. Alia said when they gave their toasts, “He is the most amazing person I’ve ever known.” To find such a thing in life is such a gift, and they are so thankful for each other. Her dress was epic, their ceremony intimate, and their reception was gorgeous. And in addition to all the love for each other, great care was taken to account for their love of the earth. This was a green wedding. She grew the flowers for her bouquet, the plants and the bark that decorated the reception at the Galapagos Art Space (which is a “green” venue, and by the way, GORGEOUS) by the river in Dumbo.
It is always such a privelage to be a part of such amazing celebrations. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my life than capturing all this amazingness.
Those amazing real candle chandeliers were Alia’s design, not a part of the the space. It was so amazing to have a nearly entirely candelit reception! Gorgeous!
Yummy! The food was so very tasty! It was all my favorite things, only mini!
