Jane + Joe

Jane and Joe SO Awesome. I was like, hey, let’s get creative! And Jane was like, I WILL BLOW YOUR MIND! And Joe was like, AWESOME, let’s go for BBQ!

Jane is such a talent. She actually made most of her outfits and headpieces for this shoot – yes, l & g, she MADE them with her own two hands. The sentiment? Fairies in a forest, I think. I tell you, my friends, I just couldn’t get enough. And to top it off? They are both so deeply in love, it oozes and drips from them. We spent the whole afternoon in this beautiful place, slapping away bugs, wondering about poison ivy, walking through spider webs, slipping on mossy rocks, and it just couldn’t have been more fun.

Wesley + Sara

Wes and Sara came to the LIC all the way from Belgium. Wes is an amazing photographer based in belgium, and I was all a flutter and nervous that he chose me to make some photos of him and his lady in my ‘hood. I think they are pretty.

Jiwon + Inki

Just as we returned from our road trip to the South, I headed back out to St. Martin for Jiwon and Inki’s wedding at the breathtaking La Samana Resort. Everything about this wedding was beautiful. The bride, the groom, the guests, the dress, the shoes… YUM. Again, I have to say. I feel like I hit the jackpot this year and I’m only one month into my season! Jiwon and Inki are such generous, loving, soul singing people, I can’t stand it. I love the feeling of going through their images, laughing and crying with all the love pouring out of my monitor. This wedding had everything, and I can’t believe it was my job to document it. I’d like to give a warm thanks to Heather Ahrens for helping me out on this one!!

Carla + Charlie

Yaaaay!! I am so excited to post this wonderful wedding! Husbone and I decided to drive down to New Orleans for our first wedding of the year. This was our second time in New Orleans, and we truly love this town. It was such a gift to be able to shoot Carla and Charlie’s wedding there, right on Bourbon Street at the Royal Sonesta. They even had a second line, and a Zydeco band! For Huz and I, it was a great way to kick off a year of what thus far promises to be overflowing with amazing couples, and amazing weddings. We put our cameras down at the end of the day, and danced like we were having seizures to Rockin’ Dopsie and the Zydeco Twisters – BEST WEDDING BAND EVER!! Unfortunately, as the photographers were us, there are no pictures of this part of the event. I’ll just leave the rest to your imagination. Also Carbon 14 made a pretty vignette!

I feel so lucky and honored to have been chosen by couples as wonderful as Carla and Charlie. Sometimes my job is so awesome it feels like cheating.

To start, I just love a bride who has great taste in shoes :) .
