My apologies for the long and lonely stretch, dear blog. With only four weddings left this year, 3 of which are out east, we’ll be traveling traveling traveling. But for you blog, and for you, my dear clients and future clients, I am now the proud new owner of a laptop, so the office will be traveling along side me this time. California is showing her best side to us these past couple of weeks as we piece together our new lives, before we must part again for the month of October, as I’ll be spending it in my old hometown of Queens at the home of a dear friend.
Caroline and Ryan are getting married this weekend! We hung out last month at the Storm King Art Center in upstate New York. One of the greatest things about having left the city and living in the country last year, is that it really opened me up to shooting in places I never would have before – as the prospect of escaping from New York City when one is so entrenched is always a tiresome prospect. And Though Windsor, New York is about an hour from our former home in Great Barrington, the drive was pleasant, and filled with the beauty of New English country roads.
We hiked hills and explored art and I took pictures of their love and friendship. We reveled over the beautiful day it was, the stunning vista, and the sneakiness of wedding dates. I was happy for the exercise, as at the time I was still emerging from my initial pregnancy misery. And what a beautiful day it was!
