My mom is a high roller in Vegas. Her game? Video Poker. In the long run, she probably loses more than she wins, but the great perk of my mothers gambling habits is that if we tag along for a Vegas vacation with her, we get everything comped.
So when Courtney, a Las Vegas native, and her husband to be Brandon (a transplant from Seattle – one of my most favorite cities ever!!), suggested we do a Veronica Lake inspired photo shoot in an off strip hotel lobby with all the fixin’s for said photo shoot, Huz and I were super excited to turn our trip into a babymoon.
Now here is the thing about Courtney. She has this awesome blog called Quit WINEing. In it, her, and sometimes Brandon, engage in these elaborate photo shoots in order to convey wine pairings that you may not have considered. Courtney is a Sommelier, and on her blog, she’ll educate you on what wine to pair with everything from Halloween Candy to Prime Rib. Her costumes are elaborate and and often hilarious, and when she told me she wanted to get creative with our shoot, I was so stoked, because I just knew she’d do something fabulous. And at that point I never even met the woman!
We had such a fun afternoon with Courtney and Brandon, and it was our very last shoot until we become parents! Woot!
