Jessica + Gray

When Jessica emailed me for the first time and asked me to shoot her wedding, I was instantly enamored. It’s hard not to be. And though it wasn’t until we arrived in Marfa, Texas, that I first interacted with Gray, Huz and I felt right at home. Especially since right as Gray was walking up and we all introduced our selves, Huz was clamboring out of the trunk of our rental car after a brief and successful experiment to see if he could escape if I locked him in there. Oh, Huz, you warm my heart.

I couldn’t believe that the day of our engagement session, we had just met. We connected like old friends, regaling each other with stories of our adventures, traveling the world and shooting weddings, as Jessica has shot a few herself. We let our conversations carry us away, and in the cozy warmth of their 1950′s trailer, our friendship was already blooming. We are kindred spirits.
