Vero and I went to high school together. I didn’t know her very well then, but even so she came to my rescue when Huz and I made the move to California and found ourselves with an emergency kitty boarding situation. And so, for the time being, she and my friend Brittney have been caring for my fur babies while I grow a human one and look for a place to settle down in our new sunny locale. I love how much Vero and Brittney love on my kitties. I get to visit them a couple times a month, and discover new and dear friends in my kitty nannies.
Is it weird that Vero and Brittney feel like family now because they have taken on the task of caring for a small portion of mine? I was so thrilled when Vero invited me to photograph her and her cousins. She comes from a pretty big Mexican family, and as a pre Thanksgiving celebration, we had a little barbeque and photo session out in a park where they’ve had many gatherings before. I told them, I want it to be a memorable afternoon with your cousins, and I’ll just happen to be there taking pictures. We hiked through the creeks and crests of Rowland Hills, we laughed and had a merry time! The day was definitely memorable for me, and it was so awesome to get to know this wonderful family!
