Inspiration!: Ashley and Andy, part deux

This is part deaux. Soon there will be a part trois, and that will be some photos from the 8 rolls of film I took with a rented Contax 645, and I am very, very excited. In the meantime, here is some more awesomeness to wet your palate!

And of course, the amazing veils were provided by Dorene at Unveiled Bridal Designs. She’s amazing! Both of the veils featured here are custom creations Doreen made herself from a couple of my own rudimentary drawings. I left it up to her to choose the feathers, and the colors of the bronze veil. If you are looking for a veil, especially something custom, make sure you call her!

And P.S…. GO VOTE!!!!

I keep coming back to these, Punam. Probably one of my favorite shoots shoots ever.

Wow, these are sublime! Do you use filters to get these amazing colours? The darkening in the foreground looks a little like a graduated neutral density filter (not that I am too geeky!!). Would love some tips if you would mind giving them as I am going to be photographing at my sisters wedding in May and these photos just blow me away!!!

YOU ARE PHENOMENAL, AMAZING. THE PICTURES are INTIMATE, INSPIRED, TIMELESS!

Punam, these pics are absolutely amazing. I keep coming back to look at them and sigh! (Or maybe just to wish I were as lovely as Ashley and had such cool clothes….!) Glad to hear they’ve been featured elsewhere ’round the Web … they deserve to be seen!

Wow, Punam. Andy & Ashley’s entire set…your best shoot yet, IMHO.

Just…WOW. Stand-alone art, every image is.

Congrats. :)

Yay! A little bit about the outfits – Andy is sporting a suit (hat and shoes) of Husbone origins, articles he’s collected from various vintage outlets throughout his travels across the country, some stuff he was getting rid of to make room for new suits. That tie there is my Husbone’s very own wedding tie! Thought the suit was a bit big on Andy, he has a bit of classic Buster Keaton about him, and it suited him well (pun not intended!). Ashley is wearing a Nicole Miller dress (with the bronze veil) that I wore to my internet sitcom premier, many years ago. The orange polka dot dress I bought in Portland, OR 8 years ago at Red LIght for $12 and it was the best $12 I ever spent! And the green and black polka dot dress is Ashley’s own, from working as a fit model for Fire Jeans. It was so much fun to be able to design this shoot myself with stuff I don’t get to wear very often! If I could bring myself to ever remove my amazing wedding dress from it’s archival (giant) box, I think I might use it for something like this soon…

AAAAAAUUUUHHHHMAZING. and beyond. totally perfect couple…style…images. everything.

Clap clap clap clap clap <—- this is me giving you a standing ovation. Good work Punam.

That first image is with a 50 1.2, and the thick fog over the beach in the background certainly helped. Thanks for everyone’s amazing words!

You amaze me, you really do. I normally don’t ask gear questions, but would you mind telling us what you used (lens-wise) for these shots, especially the first one?

Your work is simply amazing! I love seeing what you do with every shoot. I couldn’t contain myself any longer, I just had to let you know. PS: I voted!

Pure magic! When through the images on one breath and had to remind myself to take another. LOVE,LOVE,LOVE your work!
