Engagement!: Emily and Bobby

It’s been a great pleausre coming to know Emily and Bobby. This engagement session is something like what I imagine an engagement session would have been like with Husbone and I, had we had engagement session photos done. It was so awesome! They picked me up at noon on Sunday, and we made trek across Long Island to frolic in fields found by the side of the road. We emerged from the expressway in a land frought with corn mazes, vineyards across the street from shopping centers, and great expanses of flat fields, punctured in the distance by cauliflower shaped trees that have not yet assumed the full characteristics of the fall season. After a lazy lunch of red wine and spanish cheese and the GORGEOUS spanish hacienda style Raphael Vineyards, we made our way around the area (someone get married there so I can shoot it!), jumping out of the car at our whimsy. Mostly goofiness, and a little bit of violence ensued. There might have been some name calling, but it was all in good fun. There occurred cartwheels, ear pulling, air attacks, grape throwing, and a little bit of sighing and kissing. And now, I am so excited to see what these two will bring when we frolic the Isle of St. Maarten for their wedding in May!

Just Married!: Sherene and Pete

I. love. Corn fields. And Vineyards. And Abandoned Gas Stations equipped with Rusty Old Cars. I love it particularly, when all of these things are just steps away from each other, in beautiful country with untended fields.

captivating. wonderful work, as usual punam!! (and Husbone) :)

Hello Dream Location!

Call me weird, but I love how Sherene’s moles show up in the black and white photos. I have a lot of moles on my face and neck, and have always been self-conscious about them. Sherene’s look glamorous, and give me hope for my own wedding photos!

A Marriage!: Sherene and Peter

When Sherene, Peter and I had our engagement session together, one hour turned into four, frolicking in the park. And so, when it was time for Husbone and I to make the long drive up north to shoot their destination wedding among green green grass and nice weather, I knew it would be a great day. Sherene and Peter have a beautiful love, they are the ultimate troopers and generally let me do whatever I want. I’ve never been up to the Finger Lakes region, and as we approached, excitement came over me in waves as I scanned the landscape. GORgeous!! Everywhere! And to boot – when I asked these wonderful people if I could steal them away at the end of the festivities, the answer was a happy and obliging – no problem! ACK!

So this was the wonderful wedding, and tomorrow I’ll show you the wonderful what else. Sigh. I love. love. love. My job.

But first: Husbone shoots a wedding, with Wifey:

A Sneak of Peeks!: Sherene and Peter

I’m feeling inspired. I’ve been having a great couple of weeks. I’ve booked a couple of amazing weddings with amazing people, Husbone had a very nice birthday which involved a road trip and a little work, and this weekend, Bones and I headed up to Geneva, New York (way upstate!) to shoot (and get a chance to hang out with) Sherene and Peter.

It was an early wedding, and things wrapped up around 5 or so, and Sherene and Peter were kind enough to indulge us in a little session around the neighborhood (at the amazing castle/winery they had their wedding at!). I got to do everything I ever wanted to do, sitting in a car, driving through places, thinking – I wish I had some people in love here!! This really happens to me, and many of my various wedding photographer friends when we travel through places. And my what was there…! And to have Sherene and Peter to document it with !!! AMAZING !!!

Thank You, Sherene, and Peter, thank you SO MUCH for first, sharing your unbelievably loving family with us, and then, letting us do whatever we want. Just for that you are getting three (more) posts in your honor!

We like to call this A Sneak Of Peeks!: Sherene and Peter
